PHILIPSBURG–The Swiss watch-making Maison Hublot opened a section on Wednesday, at the Diamonds International store at Port St. Maarten. Brand Ambassador Usain Bolt was present with Hublot Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ricardo Guadalupe for the official opening of the new section.
In his opening remarks Guadalupe said that Hublot has been working together with Diamonds International for more than 15 years with stores in St. Thomas, Aruba and finally now in St. Maarten. He said for the opening of the section in St. Maarten he saw it fitting to have the Ambassador of the brand, Usain Bolt at the grand opening.
Bolt said it was an honour to work with Hublot. He shared in his remarks that the event was special to him as he was “home in the Caribbean.”
He shared his excitement in being a part of the grand opening with Hublot and Diamonds International and hoped that everyone would enjoy the new store.
The ribbon was cut after the speeches marking the official opening of the section for shoppers.
Following the ribbon cutting, Bolt autographed copies of his shoes as gifts for shoppers who made a purchase at the store.
