ANGUILLA–A team from the University of West Indies (UWI) Open Campus Anguilla travelled to St. Maarten/St. Martin on Saturday, October 27, for a special outreach/networking visit. The group was well received by residents as they shared information on the University’s online programmes via local media, as well as on the streets and in business places. Later in the afternoon they conducted a Meet and Greet interactive session with local UWI Open Campus students and alumni.
The group included Chair for the Guild of Students and UWI Student Today, Alumni Tomorrow (STAT) Ambassador Kemoloy Murphy, along with Guild Executive members Charlene Roach, Melissa Harrigan and Tiffany Moore. They were accompanied by Manager for the UWI Open Campus British Overseas Territories, Dr. Phyllis Fleming Banks.
The UWI Open Campus team thanks all those who helped to make the outreach initiative a success, with special thanks to Justina Basil, St. Maarten Representative on the UWI Open Campus Anguilla Guild of Students and Alumna, Roslyn Forde as well as the University of St. Martin, Nicolai Bell of VIP Destination Services and Office World St. Maarten for their support.
