ANGUILLA–Staff at The University of the West Indies (The UWI) Open Campus began a series of “Pop UP” activities at different locations on the island last week. Through this creative marketing strategy staff are introducing UWI programmes to the public. The sessions included live appearances on radio and social media, and on Thursday, June 20, the UWI Pop UP Team took the opportunity to share with the staff of the Resort and Residences by CuisinArt.

On Friday, June 21, the team partnered with the National Commercial Bank of Anguilla (NCBA) for a special session. NCBA customers as well as the general public were afforded the opportunity to learn about University’s programmes and scholarships, as well as funding options by the Bank. The sessions are planned to continue in early July with visits to Belmond Cap Juluca and other venues.

“These Pop UP activities have been extremely encouraging,” said Manager for The UWI Open Campus British Overseas Territories, Dr. Phyllis Fleming-Banks. “We thank CuisinArt and NCBA for collaborating with us thus far and we look forward to continuing sharing the programmes and opportunities at The UWI by Popping UP at different businesses and other public places.” The team also thanks the public for its support and positive feedback.
