SIMPSON BAY–At least two vehicles were damaged with bullet holes when an unknown person(s) fired shots in the Simpson Bay area, possibly on Friday evening.
Police spokesperson Chief Inspector Ricardo Henson said in a press release on Sunday, that a police patrol was sent to the scene around 12:30pm on Saturday, January 5, after the 911 dispatch received a call about the incident.
On the scene, investigating officers found evidence which indicated that shots had been fired at the location. Officers also located a vehicle with licence plate P-5026 and noticed that the rear windshield had a bullet hole. Investigators also found more evidence of a shooting in the immediate area. The Daily Herald understands that at least two vehicles had bullet holes.
The Forensic Department was called to collect evidence and detectives are still questioning potential witnesses to determine what exactly took place and who is responsible for the shooting. No one was reported injured.
Henson said the Detective Department is investigating the matter.
