Vitality Beauty/Spa gives back to seniors

ST. EUSTATIUS–Vitality Beauty and Spa, located on H.M. Queen Beatrix Street #18, opposite Queen Beatrix Medical Centre, is owned by Sjahairah Fleming. She said they had the opportunity to show their talent and expertise to senior citizens this past weekend.

Fleming said they invited 20 seniors to come and have a fun spa day. The senior citizens had the opportunity to get manicures, pedicures, facials and massages. They also received lunch and they were also provided with music to entertain them.

Fleming said she was assisted by 11 volunteers, which included MBO1 students from New Challenges Foundation.

“It was a wonderful day full of fun and laughter,” she said. “The beauty of it all was watching the seniors get beautified and leaving Vitality with a smile on their faces and with the promise to come back to get pampered. This is something we would definitely do from time to time for the senior citizens of Statia.

One of the elderly customers said they felt better from the moment they walked into the relaxing atmosphere.

Besides manicures, pedicures, facials and massages, Vitality also offers eyelash extensions, acrylic nails and waxing. They are open Wednesday through Sunday. Vitality beauty and Spa first opened in December 2017.
