PHILIPSBURG–The Ministry of Public Housing, Spatial Planning, Environment and Infrastructure VROMI announced to all businesses and residents on Thursday that the cleaning of main roadsides is coming to an end. It has been more than six weeks since the passing of Hurricane Irma and the dumping of debris on the main road will no longer be tolerated.
All businesses and residents located adjacent to a main road have to transport their debris to the landfill in Philipsburg that has been specifically set up to handle such debris. The Ministry said it is trying its utmost to clean up the side roads. It is also busy sanitising various dumping sites to curtail any unhygienic issues.
The Ministry of VROMI appreciates the public’s cooperation in this matter.
