Wanted man arrested at PJIA | THE DAILY HERALD

 

AIRPORT–A man J.R.J.A. for whom a warrant had been issued was arrested by members of the Alpha Team at Princess Juliana International Airport (PJIA) around 3:10pm Friday, August 17, while attempting to leave the country.

Police spokesperson Chief Inspector Ricardo Henson said A. was attempting to leave the island while a warrant for his arrest had been issued by the Police Detective Department. According to Henson, A. had been involved in an altercation with a group of young men in the Simpson Bay area the weekend prior. Several persons were injured during the altercation.

Once arrested, A. was transported to police headquarters where he remains in police custody for further investigation.
