PHILIPSBURG–The St. Maarten Police Force started 2018 on a very high note, after a suspect wanted by Anguilla’s police was arrested here on the island on Monday. During a routine check at a local adult entertainment establishment, police noticed a gentleman fitting the description of wanted suspect James Hodge.
Acting police spokesman Inspector Rensley Henson said on Monday that the suspect gave officers a false name when they attempted to establish his identity.
“When asked for his identification paperwork, the suspect then admitted to officers as being sought by Anguillian Police. Hodge even went as far as to compliment the officers for being able to recognise him in a crowded place. The suspect was arrested and taken to police headquarters where he will be handed over to Immigration for deportation,” said Henson.
The Police Force praised the officers for a tremendous job done in this case.
Hodge is suspected of several criminal acts, including murder.
