The UK-registered cargo vessel “Yacht Hop” that was stuck on a sandbank off Baie Nettle days ago has now been driven ashore due to the current weather conditions and is proving to be a difficult situation to solve. Salvage company Aquatic Solutions indicated previous attempts to re-float the vessel and the latest attempt to pull the bow around have not worked. A larger and more powerful tugboat is required. However, the company is anticipating the weather calming down now and is waiting for the right tide. Apparently there is no damage to the steel-hulled vessel. (Soualiga Post.com photo)
