The branch, located at Airport Road 15, welcomed customers back on Tuesday, November 3. A small reopening ceremony was held the following day, attended by members of the bank’s management team and customers.

The renovated branch has a refreshed appearance and updated layout intended to improve the customer experience and better accommodate changing banking needs.

The new digital banking assistance area is designed to help customers who are using online or mobile banking for the first time, as well as those who want to become more familiar with the bank’s digital services. Staff will be available to guide customers through the available tools.

WIB Country Head Daisy Tyrol-Carolus said the bank wanted to combine the convenience of digital banking with personal assistance for customers who need help getting started.

“Simpson Bay Branch has been part of this community for over 30 years, and it is a pleasure to welcome our customers back to a space that reflects where banking is today. Digital banking offers real convenience, but we know many customers want someone beside them while they get started. This branch gives them that support. Investments like this are about making banking easier for the people we serve, and we will continue to make them,” she said.

The Simpson Bay branch first opened in 1992 and has served the surrounding community for more than three decades.

Customers will continue to have access to the same branch services and regular banking hours. The 24-hour depository facility will also remain available outside regular branch hours.

A new ATM has been installed at the branch but is not yet in service. The bank said customers will be notified when it becomes available. In the meantime, they can use the WIB ATM across the street at the SOL gas station.

The bank said the renovation forms part of its continued investment in its branch network and customer support.
