WIB is enhancing its free replacement process for damaged personal and business debit and credit cards.

PHILIPSBURG--Windward Islands Bank (WIB) is enhancing its free replacement process for damaged personal and business debit and credit cards after acknowledging that recently-issued cards have not met expected quality standards. “We recognise that the quality of the recently-issued cards unfortunately does not meet the standard our customers expect, and discussions about this are being held with the manufacturer,” the bank said.

The replacement process applies to all customers with a personal or business credit or debit card showing signs of wear, tear, or damage. WIB apologised for the inconvenience and said that the accelerated replacement of damaged cards aims to address this issue.

Customers can replace damaged cards until February 28, 2026, through three options: using the WIB Mobile Banking App by tapping the campaign banner to submit a request; sending an email to

Customers may select their preferred branch for card pickup and, once ready, they will receive an email with the pickup date. The full replacement process takes a maximum of eight business days.

During this process, the current card remains active and usable. WIB asks customers to destroy and discard the damaged card once the new one is activated. For more information, customers can contact WIB by phone at 546-2942, via email at
