Party-goers at the 2016 Fyah Under Yuh Foot event.
MIDDLE REGION–Xtratight Entertainment is bringing a touch of class to the party life of the island with its newest event, El Légance. This is the event where the grown folks can dance the night away while decked out in exquisite gowns and smart suits.
El Légance, is a spinoff from Fyah Under Yuh Foot, and will be hosted by music producer Bertaux “Mr. Rude” Fleming. It is in line with a series of events planned this year by Fleming’s Xtratight Entertainment.
“El Légance is a new concept from Xtratight and it stemmed from the concept of our signature black and gold event, Fyah under Yuh Foot, that we have every December.
“This dance is for grown folks, young and old alike and I came up with the idea because I have been hearing from fans that once a year is not enough,” said Fleming, whose productions always leave fans wanting more. He stressed, though, that this monthly event, which will be held on a Saturday, will in no way replace Fyah under Yuh Foot.
“Fyah under Yuh Foot has to remain Fyah under Yuh Foot. El Légance will focus more on quality and not quantity, so tickets will be limited in order to keep the event classy. The idea of the concept is to create an atmosphere of class from the music to the ambiance to the people that come to the event,” Fleming stated.
As such, no tickets will be sold at the door. Patrons must get their tickets early at Adolphus Office Supply and Domino’s Pizza. Ticket prices for the first event, slated for Fleming’s Villa in Cole Bay from 9:00pm February 10 to 3:00am, will remain low at US $35. With the purchase of two tickets patrons will save $10, No tickets will be available at any Van Dorp location.
Fleming said patrons can expect an event where there will be great music, superb ambiance, and they can feel good about themselves. It is not a couples’ only event. He promises that patrons will not feel like they are in the wrong place or are overdressed. The dress code will be strictly adhered to and persons not elegantly attired will not gain entrance.
“The dress code is very simple … a touch of class,” said Fleming. “I want this to be an occasion where people can wear the dress that looks overdressed at other events. It is one that from the drinks to the service, they can expect a premium event.”
Music for El Légance will be provided by CD Ranking and Mr. Rude.
