MARIGOT-Five young athletes from Gym’Enfants will represent St. Martin in the regional French Antilles-Guyana Gymnastics Finals on Saturday.
Making the trip are Mai-Angél Martis age six; Xénia Ahlip, 8; Charlotte Martinez,7; Ilona Garrau, 9 and Kiana Kozakiewiez, 9.
Gym’Enfants is the Gymnastic School located in Hope Estate.
“This competition is held yearly and the French islands compete to see which island has the best gymnasts,” said Angelique Martis-Romou. “These five gymnasts are competing in the youngest category of this competition called “Poussigym.”
“Xénia, Mai-Angél and Charlotte have also qualified for the individual competition which will be held in two weeks again on Guadeloupe.
“This experience be seen as a stepping stone for many more competitions to come.”
