THE HAGUE–Minister Plenipotentiary of St. Maarten Jorien Wuite, following up on the mission of the Cabinet which is to embrace, encourage and promote St. Maarten expertise, has offered an internship to Nataly Linzey, a St. Maarten-born young professional currently residing in the Netherlands.

A graduate of Groningen University, Linzey just attained her Master’s degree in Dutch law, having specialised in Criminal Law with an average score of 7.5.

She is currently pursuing her ambition to eventually become a prosecutor, a position for which she would qualify once she has attained the needed relevant experience.

In pursuit of this goal, Linzey has been proactively exploring various possibilities. Minister Wuite, in keeping with the objectives and plans to offer internships and traineeships at her Cabinet, offered her support and that of the Cabinet’s senior staff members.

Wuite also vowed to introduce Linzey to key individuals within St. Maarten House’s network as well as individual networks in an attempt to strengthen her resolve in attaining her goals.

Linzey has been offered the opportunity do a short traineeship at the Cabinet of the Minister Plenipotentiary as of the first week of December. This would afford her the opportunity to gain relevant work experience while reviewing other job options.

In accepting this offer, she will work under the guidance of the Cabinet’s senior legal advisor Charlotte Duijf, with whom she will be delving into legal projects on justice-related matters in support of the Cabinet. Furthermore, she will be coached in matters pertaining to legalities on the Kingdom level.

Linzey has expressed her gratitude to the Minister Plenipotentiary.

“One of the things young professionals face after completing a degree is the lack of needed experience to get the jobs we aspire. We cannot get that experience if we are not afforded the chance to start somewhere. I’m extremely thankful to Ms. Wuite for using the limited means that her Cabinet has to still be of valued assistance in getting that head-start,” Linzey said.

Minister Wuite congratulated Linzey on her graduation and welcomed her to her Cabinet.
