CAYMAN ISLANDS--Motorworld Group, authorized distributor of Chery across the Caribbean region, has launched the Chery brand in the Cayman Islands through its dealer partner, Arch Automotive.

The brand made its public debut on May 30 at the Out of This World Music Festival, which featured Vybz Kartel and Nelly and drew approximately 20,000 attendees. The Cayman Islands launch marks the second official Chery introduction in the Caribbean and forms part of Motorworld’s wider regional expansion plan for 2026.

Chery, founded in 1997, operates in more than 130 countries and regions. The company has been China’s leading passenger vehicle exporter for more than two decades and has built its global presence around vehicle technology, safety features, quality and value.

Through the Cayman Islands launch, local customers are being introduced to selected Chery models, some of which include a 10-year engine warranty. Motorworld said the warranty reflects the brand’s confidence in the durability and quality of its vehicles.

During the festival, representatives of Arch Automotive were on site to introduce attendees to the Chery lineup, vehicle features, technology and warranty offering. The event gave many visitors their first opportunity to see the brand in person.

“This launch represents a major milestone for Chery in the Caribbean,” said Tariq Amjad, Chairman of Motorworld Group. “The Cayman Islands is the first of several Chery launches we have planned across the region this year. Chery’s global success story, commitment to innovation, and value proposition make it a strong fit for Caribbean consumers. We are confident that drivers throughout the region will quickly recognize why Chery has become one of the fastest-growing automotive brands in the world.”

Taylor Foster, General Manager of Arch Automotive, said the response from the Cayman community was positive.

“Chery is a brand that has proven itself on the global stage, and we’re excited to introduce it to local customers,” Foster said. “This launch is only the beginning, and we look forward to welcoming customers to our showroom to experience the vehicles firsthand.”

Motorworld said it will continue expanding Chery’s presence in the Caribbean, with additional market launches planned in the coming months.
