GREAT BAY--Telem Group has been recognized for its contribution to the publication and distribution ofIn Emilio Wilson Park with Uncle Joe, the debut children's book by veteran St. Maarten educator Oswald Francis. The company, which joined the initiative as a Silver Literary Partner, recently received a signed copy of the finished publication and a token of appreciation acknowledging its support in making the book more accessible to young readers across St. Maarten.

Representatives associated with the book's publication visited Telem's offices to personally thank the company for its financial contribution to the project. Telem became a Silver Literary Partner in September 2026, when Victorious Living Publishing, the publisher of the book, welcomed the company's participation in an initiative aimed at promoting local literature, cultural awareness, and reading among children. The book introduces young readers to St. Maarten's heritage through stories centered on Emilio Wilson Park, incorporating elements of the island's history and Caribbean identity.

The publication has already generated considerable interest, with its first printing selling out. Following that initial demand, the book was released in an upgraded edition featuring several enhancements, including new illustrations designed to enrich the reading experience for children and families.

The recent presentation to Telem marked an important milestone for the publishing initiative, bringing together the completed literary work and the corporate partner whose support helped expand its reach. The occasion also highlighted the role businesses can play in supporting local authors, promoting literacy, and preserving St. Maarten's cultural heritage for future generations.

In acknowledging the recognition, Telem expressed appreciation for the opportunity to contribute to a project with lasting educational and cultural value.

"Telem is proud to stand as the Silver Literary Partner for this project. Watching it grow from a simple idea into a finished creative work has been a privilege, especially since it will share St. Maarten's heritage with young and old readers. We were humbled by the show of appreciation, and will use the signed copies shared with us as the first addition to our personal library. Supporting the people who turn concepts like this into lasting works for our community is exactly the kind of partnership Telem values most."

The partnership reflects the importance of private-sector support in bringing locally produced educational and cultural materials to a wider audience. By helping makeIn Emilio Wilson Park with Uncle Joeavailable to schools, institutions, and families, Telem's contribution supports opportunities for children to engage with stories rooted in their own community.

For the team behind the publication, the presentation also represented an opportunity to acknowledge the businesses and organizations whose participation can help turn local creative projects into completed works with meaningful public benefit.

The recognition of Telem as Silver Literary Partner underscores the value of collaboration between local publishers, educators, and the business community in strengthening literacy and ensuring that St. Maarten's stories remain accessible to future generations.
