Dollar Store robbed for second time

St. Maarten News – On Monday the Dollar Store on the L.B. Scott Road was robbed for the second time in two weeks. According to the police report, three armed men with hoodies pulled over their faces stormed the store around 5.40 p.m. and took the complete cash register that contained an undisclosed amount of cash. The robbers threatened everyone in the store with a knife and a gun. The robbers jumped into a small white car and fled the scene.

On Wednesday December 23, the dollar store was also the victim a-of an armed robbery. That day, there were also three robbers. They entered the store around 1.45 p.m., threatened the owner and forced him to hand over cash. They also robbed two female customers of their handbags. On this occasion, the robbers fled on foot in the direction of the cricket field and Cost-U-Less.

The police report did not refer to the first robbery yesterday and it is unclear whether Monday’s robbers were the same as the three men who hit the store in December.
