ANGUILLA —The Royal Anguilla Police Force on Thursday 5th November, 2015 at about 9:50 pm responded to a report of a robbery in progress at the Chinese Oriental Restaurant in The Valley.

On arrival at the scene officers were told that the two assailants one tall and the other short wearing hooded jackets and armed with what appeared to be firearms had already fled the scene.

Preliminary investigations at the scene revealed that the attackers entered the business premises forcefully as the operators were about to close up and made off with an undisclosed sum of money as well as other items from the restaurant.

As the Police continues investigation into this matter they are appealing to members of the public who may have been in the area of the Chinese Oriental Restaurant in The Valley and may have witnessed this robbery or have any information regarding this robbery to contact the Valley Police Station with such information.  The telephone number is 497-2333 and asks for the Criminal Investigation Department or to speak to any Police Officer of their choice.
