DOMINICA: Body fished out of sea off Roseau

Dominica — The police are appealing for assistance from the public in identifying a man whose body was fished out of the sea last Sunday.

Police PRO, Sergeant Pelham Jno Baptiste said the lifeless body was discovered by a fisherman about one mile off Roseau.

The Marine Unit was alerted and the body recovered from the sea at around 5:00 pm.

Jno Baptiste said the body was that of a male with dreadlocks and clothed in a pair of long, blue trousers and a brown T-Shirt.

The body was taken to the Accident and Emergency Department of the Princess Margaret Hospital where it was officially pronounced dead by a medical doctor.

So far the body remains unidentified.

A post mortem will be convened and investigations are ongoing, Jno Baptiste said.
