PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten — On Wednesday December 2nd, the National Institute of Arts Celebrates the closing of the year 2015 with a fundraising Artist showcase featuring some of St.Maarten notable performers….  The evening entitled NIA Holiday Spectacular promises to be a night of great performances and magical performances.

Many of the artists have come together to donate their gift of song, dance, and music for a worthy cause in support of NIA. The National Institute of Arts is   an artist-training center that offers interdisciplinary art education to many of St.Maarten children, teens and adults.

The Showcase features an eclectic ensemble of artist ranging in repertoire from the venerable and incomparable Carlson Velasquez and John Ferdinand Hyman better known Carlson and Fefe accompanied by Jan Beaujon to the Velvet smooth voice of Gospel Singer Rosanna Castillo.

NIA Holiday Spectacular, will also feature for the first time on the NIA stage Kirti Jaisanghani singing classical old Bolly Wood repertoire and Indian temple song. The performers are a line up of young emerging artist as well as well-established artist. The highlight of the event will feature the amazing vocals of this years NIA Emerging Artist award Keila Michelle as well as the high energy performance of the dynamic and very innovative David Colas better known as D.Kullus also recipient the NIA Emerging Artist Award.

Other Unforgettable performers include Franco Nasi and his ensemble Cacao, the Helen Hart Choir, the Potmis Steel Pan Duo, Bharatanayam Dancer Aparna Samaga, the exotic Paula Dono and Voodoo dancers, Musician Peter J. Gittens, from Michigan, he extraordinary Tap Dancers, Visual Artist and Vocalist Frances Nielah Bradley, Dj Earz and a repeat performance of Clara Reyes and Lavaun Henry St.Maarten Day presentation.

The Fundraising Holiday spectacle will take place at the National Institute of Arts located at the John Larmonie Center beginning at 7pm. NIA is exceedingly grateful for their generosity and we are humbled by these Artist willingness to donate their performance to our Cause.
