*** POLICE REPORT *** Update: Police is looking for the rightful owners of 5 vehicles that are not claimed as yet!

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten — In connection with the ongoing “stolen vehicles” investigation which started on Friday October 23rd 2015 on the Bush road, the police department is giving the following update.

A total of 21 vehicles were found and confiscated at that location. 5 of these vehicles which resulted to be stolen have since been returned to their rightful owner. 6 of the vehicles which resulted not being stolen were also returned to their rightful owner. 5 of the vehicles are still being investigated. And 5 of these vehicles have not yet been claimed by the rightful owner and remain in “safe keeping.”

The Police Department is asking anyone who recognize one of these vehicles as their stolen vehicle and have filed an official report with the Detective Department regarding this vehicle being stolen should get in contact with the Police Forensic Department by calling 54-22222 ext. 221 or 114, from December 14th and 18th 2015 between 9am and 3pm, for further information.

Please note that vehicles that are not claimed within 2 weeks of publication of this article will be destroyed.

All persons who are claiming any of these vehicles should be in the possession of all legal documents (bill of sale, insurance document, road tax receipt, inspection card) for the vehicle they want to claim. (See pics of unclaimed vehicles in this post).
