SOUTH REWARD, Sint Maarten (KPS Police Report) – The Police Juvenile Department is presently investigating a fight, which broke between students in the vicinity of the Milton Peters College (MPC).

The incident took place on Tuesday, September 6, at 2:30pm. This is when the Emergency Dispatch received a call that a serious fight among youngsters was going on in the vicinity of MPC, and that one of the students was injured and bleeding. Immediately, several police patrols were sent to the scene to investigate what had taken place.

On the scene, investigating officers learnt that the fight started when a group of youngsters attacked two other students. During the attack, one victim was struck in his head with a hard object, which caused a serious open wound. The victim was immediately transported to the medical center where he was treated for his wound.

The reason for this attack, and who the attackers were, is still unknown and is being investigated. Family members of the victims were informed of the incident and have filed an official complaint with the Juvenile Department.

When more details regarding this investigation becomes available, the media will be informed.
