PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten — The monetary contribution will go towards the Positive Foundation’s continued efforts to create and encourage breast cancer awareness.

UTS also assisted the foundation in spreading the awareness message by SMS and through social media, with a specific focus on creating awareness for the availability of free clinical breast examinations throughout the month of October.

“UTS has been a supporter of the Positive Foundation for many years and in many ways, both financially and by assisting in spreading the word in some form or another.” says UTS Marketing & Communication Officer, Ivy Lambert.

“This year we also purchased a batch of caps with a rhinestone awareness ribbon from the foundation, which was one of their additional fundraising initiatives in collaboration with La Fleur Productions.

We had our customer service staff wear these caps in our stores, which was a fun change for our staff and additional funding to the foundation, but most importantly, seeing the awareness ribbon is a reminder to each customer that interacts with our team to get screened” Lambert continued.
