Middle Region:--- The Dominica Foundation of St. Maarten announces the visit of the President of the Commonwealth of Dominica, His Excellency Charles Angelo Savarin and his wife, Mrs. Clara Josephine Savarin to St. Maarten from October 12 – 16, 2016.
During his visit, His Excellency President Savarin will meet with the His Excellency drs. Eugene Holiday, Governor of St. Maarten and Honourable Prime Minister William Marlin. President Savarin will also meet with the Prefétè of Saint Martin, Mme. Anne Laubies; and the Honourable President of the Collectivitè, Mrs. Aline Hanson.
President Savarin will address the Dominican community and the St Maarten public at the Belair Community Center on Friday, October 14, 2016, on the topic, ‘Building Meaningful Partnerships and Fostering Relationships through Culture and Education’.
President Savarin’s visit is meant to encourage Dominicans living on the island to take a more active role in the communities of St. Maarten/ St. Martin and Dominica. The President and Mrs. Savarin’s visit will end with a moonlight lagoon cruise on the Explorer on the evening of Saturday, October 15, 2016.
All Dominicans and friends of Dominica are invited to attend the event at the Belair Community Center.
