PHILIPSBURG:--- The Joint Court of Justice on December 7, 2016 acquitted the suspects R.G.K. and A.K.A. of all charges. They were accused of public violence during the Jouvert Morning on April 27, 2015. According to the judges there is not enough evidence that they committed, either alone or in connection with others, violent acts against others in public. The third suspect D.C.L. was found guilty of mistreating his former girlfriend on April 27, 2015 with whom he had a child. But, seeing the troublesome break-up, that his car was wrecked before the incident and that since that incident he committed no other offenses, the Joint Court of Justice did not hand any punishment against him.
