St. Maarten – Two hikers who crossed the Arlet Peters Road (the old Cake house Road that runs from the A.J.C. Brouwers Road over the hill to Union Road in Cole Bay) early Sunday morning found skeletal remains in the bushes. They alerted the police. The forensic department confirmed that these were indeed human remains. Identity, sex and cause of death have not yet been established.

The hikers called the police department shortly after 8.30 a.m. yesterday morning. A police patrol, detectives and the forensic department went to the scene to investigate.
