St. Maarten News: Seven Seas Water uses advanced purification technology to supply high-purity drinking and process water to municipal, industrial and commercial customers around the globe. That’s the message Seven Seas-officials gave to politicians who attended the Inter-Parliamentary Kingdom Consultation (Ipko) last week in St. Maarten.

Vice president Business Analysis Frederick Hung and operations manager Lester Brian gave presentations to the politicians during a visit to the water plant in Pointe Blanche last week Thursday.

Managing director Franklyn Richards highlighted the company’s role as a good corporate citizen with a reference to its regular donation program. “The initiative emphasizes strengthening the community by building up the self-esteem of the youth, assisting the elderly, supporting breakfast programs for financially challenged students, scholarships for students who want to pursue water engineering studies and partnering with the government and the local utilities entity Gebe,” Seven Seas said in a press statement.

Seven Seas is “operations-focused” and does not get paid when its plants do not produce water that meets specifications.

The company delivers 7 billion gallons of fresh water to its clients worldwide.

The St. Maarten plan has a 21,000 cubic meters a day capacity and will expand to 25,000 cubic meters.

At the end of the presentation, Seven Seas managing director Richards offered a token of appreciation to Ipko chairlady Sarah Wescot-Williams.
