PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten — Our second meeting took place outdoors at the Gingerbread Café’s poolside. It was also an induction and a fellowship where the members and our guests got to know each other.

Our theme this month is all about membership and extension where we took this opportunity to pin our two newest members: Roylyka Roache and Hendrick Snijder. They promised us that they would remain committed, effective and to live up to the bylaws and protocols of our club.

Thanks to all of those Rotaractors and guests that came to our second general meeting/fellowship this past Saturday at the Gingerbread Cafe. Much thanks to our social chair Nicole Peters for organizing a great event!

We had an enormous amount of fun and learned great things. Guests are always welcome at our meetings, service, and social events. We are asking for the general public to keep in mind our next upcoming events: August 26 – Summer’s End party at the Tantra Night Club and Sanctuary from 10:00am; August 27 – General Meeting at the University Of St. Martin (USM), and September 3 – Hurricane Awareness Mission at Cost-U-Less from 10:00am to 1:00pm.
