According to Météo France and the National Hurricane Center, a tropical wave, located a few hundred kilometers from Cape Verde, continues to form. It moves quickly and should affect the West Indian arc from Monday July 1st.
This wave is placed under surveillance for a risk of cyclonic development in 7 days by the National Hurricane Center (NHC). Indeed, the probability that this wave will become a cyclonic phenomenon is estimated at 40% for the next 48 hours and 70% for the next seven days. A deterioration in weather and wind and sea conditions is very likely.
However, given the deadline, uncertainty remains significant both on the trajectory and on the intensity of this potential cyclonic system. _AF
