
The Collectivity of Saint-Martin confirms, for the period 2025-2026, the renewal of combined agricultural aid intended for the sectors cattle, sheep, goat et pigA central mechanism to consolidate local livestock farming, a strategic sector in the island’s food sovereignty.
Launched last yearThis aid is designed as a sustainable tool to support the animal sector. The CCISMAs the Chamber of Agriculture, it supports livestock farmers in their administrative procedures to facilitate access to public programs. “The time for action has finally arrived for this sector. Collectively, we are shaping a more competitive, more attractive, and more sustainable agricultural sector for Saint-Martin,” recalls Angèle Dormoy, president of the CCISM.
In 2024, ten farmers benefited from this aid for a total amount of €169.155.demonstrating the importance of a rigorous administrative compliance to fully access available support. “When an operator is regularized, they can benefit from all the existing schemes. Getting into compliance means giving yourself the means to fully benefit from the aid available in the region,” emphasizes Alfred Flanders, in charge of animal identification at the CCISM.
For the new campaign, applications are now available from the Collectivité and the CCISM Agriculture desk, which ensures a full in order to guide farmers at each stage and to strengthen a sector that is still fragile but full of potential.
