GREAT BAY--Dreams to Reality proudly kicks off the 10th edition of Battle of the Fittest today, Sunday, June 28, 2026, at the LB Scott Sports Auditorium, launching a week of competitive basketball, regional pride and high-energy entertainment.
The tournament will run from June 28 to July 4, 2026, featuring teams from St. Maarten, St. Kitts and Nevis, Barbuda, St. Maarten United, the Dominican Republic, St. Eustatius and Haiti. Games will be played nightly, with action scheduled from 6:00pm to 12:00 midnight.
The opening night will begin with an official opening ceremony from 5:00pm to 6:00pm, followed by three matchups. Barbuda will face Haiti from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, St. Eustatius will take on St. Maarten from 8:00pm to 10:00pm, and the Dominican Republic will meet St. Maarten United from 10:00pm to 12:00am.
Now in its 10th edition, Battle of the Fittest has grown into one of the most anticipated basketball events on the local and regional sports calendar, bringing together talented teams, passionate fans and a competitive atmosphere that highlights the strength of the sport in the Caribbean.
The tournament will continue throughout the week with multiple games each night. In addition to the team competition, Saturday, July 4, will feature a 3-point shootout and slam dunk contest from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, followed by the third-place game, the championship game and the closing ceremony.
A grand prize of US $10,000 will be awarded to the tournament champions.
Admission is US $10 for adults and US $5 for children. Organizers are encouraging the public to come out early, support their teams and be part of a full week of basketball excitement at the LB Scott Sports Auditorium.
