PHILIPSBURG--The Police Force of St Maarten (KPSM) is investigating the death of an adult male who was found lying on the ground along Crocus Road late Saturday morning.

According to KPSM, at approximately 11:25am, the 911 Dispatch Centre notified police that a man was lying on the ground along Crocus Road. Patrol officers responded immediately and confirmed the discovery of one deceased adult male.

Police said the circumstances surrounding the man's death remain unclear at this stage of the investigation.

Detectives and forensic investigators are currently at the scene conducting a thorough investigation and collecting evidence to determine the circumstances of the incident.

KPSM is urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has information that could assist the investigation to contact the Police Force.
