When it comes to supporting the fight against breast cancer, the local Beach Tennis Club stands with one voice. KKO Beach Club and Friendly Caribbean Beach Tennis (FCBT) each organized their tournaments for the benefit of the association Phoenix Flower, within the framework ofPink OctoberTwo events, one single surge of solidarity and awareness.
“Raquettes Roses” Tournament: €530 in donations collected
Le 19 October, on the beach of the East Bay, the KKO Beach Club brought together 32 women and teenage girls for the fourth edition of the tournament “The Pink Snowshoes”, dedicated to sport, sharing and prevention. “The event went very well, we had a stretching session offered by Laetitia from the Hope Estate Pilates Studio and a small closing drink,” says Virginie Carien, club coach. The association Phoenix Flower was present alongside the Doctor Marie Laruelle, head of the hospital's oncology department, and a group of nurses to remind people of the importance of screening and self-palpation and a educational questionnaire and welcome bags containing an information booklet helped raise awareness among all participants. Thanks to the raffle organized with the loyal support of partners, €530 was raised for the association. The duo Maëlys Farlot and Mahée Thibier imposed itself in a good mood, concluding this day of commitment in style.
FCBT: Double tournament for a good cause
LOctober 11, the FCBT had already made the pitches vibrate Colombier with its BT250 Mixed Pink October, a friendly competition where fair play and solidarity were combined. The club hosted Florence Herfort, secretary of Fleur du Phoenix, and the Doctor Marie Laruelle, who came to salute the mobilization of the public and the players. Charlotte Martinez and Pierre Assier de Pompignan (TCISM) distinguished themselves by winning the tournament, while The funds collected were also donated to Fleur du Phoenix. The BT100 Youth, postponed to October 17 due to rain, extended the momentum: Jules Lamort and Zinzan Rosaz stood out among a youth full of energy and heart. Special mention to Delphine, arbitrator, who chose to pay back his compensation to support the case.
