Un new impetus for film culture in Saint-Martin. The Community opens a call for projects within the framework of the national system Image passers, intended to encourage the discovery and practice of cinema among young people aged 12 to 25.
Designed by the State, the CNC and the Regions, Passeurs d'images aims to make image culture accessible to audiences who are distant from it for social, cultural or geographical reasons. In Saint-Martin, where the absence of a movie theater is still felt, this national program finds a particular resonance. It's about imagining new ways of experiencing cinema, in neighborhoods, schools or public spaces..
The call is open to associations, youth organizations, integration organizations, artists or collectives wishing to propose projects combining education, creation and sharing. Two main areas will be prioritized: artistic practice workshops around production, audiovisual creation or the discovery of cinema professions, and open-air screenings and meetings allowing us to reach out to the residents.
Beyond the dissemination of works, the challenge is to open spaces for expression and social connection, to inspire vocations and to support young people aged 12 to 25 towards a better understanding of the images that surround them. This approach is part of the locally implemented cultural policy to strengthen cohesion and civic participation through culture. Candidates must contact the Directorate of Cultural Action before submitting any application (application deadline: November 5, 2025).
