Children’s Rights Day: Mental health at the heart of discussions | FAXINFO

On the occasion of the International Children’s Daycelebrated every year on November 20th, A debate will bring together middle and high school students from Saint-Martin, the Dutch side, and several neighboring islands this Friday, November 21st..
The initial meeting6th edition organized at the sports hall of the Jean Louis Vanterpool stadium From 8 a.m. to noon, will focus on a an issue that has become central for new generations : the Mental HealthLed by the Solidarity, Health and Family Delegation, the Territorial Observatory for Early Childhood, the Education Department and the youth section of the territorial media library, the event invites secondary schools to discuss emotional difficulties, psychological well-being, and existing support options. Facing a moderator, students will be encouraged to to compare their experiences, their questions and their proposals in a supportive environment.
La participation of institutions from Saint Kitts, Anguilla, Saint Barthélemy, Martinique and Sint Maarten will give this event a unique Caribbean dimension. Through this debate, young people are offered a space to express themselves, better understand the challenges of mental health, and be encouraged to use support services when needed.
