After several days of events that punctuated this month of December, the Christmas festivities organized by the Collectivity of Saint-Martin are entering their final stretch. Serenades, culinary competitions, Miss Christmas Beauty, and traditional events have already drawn large crowds. This weekend promises to be one of the highlights of the program, blending conviviality, magic, and a spirit of sharing.
Le Saturday 20 DecemberThe Marigot seafront will be transformed into a veritable christmas villageFrom 10 a.m. to 22 p.m., visitors can stroll among the stalls of vendors offering a variety of products and local crafts, in a warm and family-friendly atmosphere. The afternoon will be especially dedicated to younger visitors with the grand Christmas paradeexpected at 14 p.m. in the streets of the capital, a moment always very popular with families.
The magic will continue after nightfall with a show that has become a must-see: the maritime paradeAt 19:30 p.m., Marigot Bay will light up as the decorated boats pass by, accompanying the highly anticipated arrival of Santa ClausThe boats will leave Grand-Case from 18pm to offer a magical scene on our waters.
Le Sunday 21 DecemberThe festivities will move to Grand-Case for the official closing of the program. Starting at 18:30 p.m., Boulevard Bertin-Maurice Léonel will host the Christmas light parade, by the association Grand-Case Lighting Parade. Decorated floats, sparkling costumes, glitter, and treats distributed by Santa’s elves promise once again a popular enthusiasmA festive finale that illustrates the residents’ attachment to these unifying events, where Christmas is celebrated first and foremost together, in joy and light, before officially celebrating it in smaller groups.
