
On the occasion of the 378th anniversary of Treaty of Concordia, signed on March 23, 1648, the port establishment of Saint-Martin organizes a Fireworks display in Grand-Case Bay this Monday, March 23rd at 23pmThis pyrotechnic display will mark this historic anniversary, a symbol of the free movement of goods and people on the island.
To guarantee public safety, a security perimeter will be put in place, accompanied by temporary restrictions on navigation and anchoring in the area. Authorities urge spectators to respect the guidelines in order to fully enjoy the event safely. An exhibition to trace the history of the treaty
In parallel, the Cultural Affairs Department of the Collectivity is presenting an exhibition entitled “Treaty of Mount Accords, from its genesis to modern times”. in the hall of the Collectivity in MarigotIt is open to the public free of charge until March 24th inclusive. Through this exhibition, visitors will be able to (re)discover the origins and evolution of this emblematic treaty, which remains a central element of the history and identity of Saint-Martin. _Vx
