The last scene played yesterday in the premises of the 'fake police station' in Marigot marked the end of filming of the TV film "Murders in Saint-Martin" after 25 intense days of shooting on our territory.
This new opus of the acclaimed France Télévisions series which attracts up to 8 million viewers is produced by ELOA Prod. With several filmings of the series “Murders in…” overseas, the producers chose our territory to bring more visibility to overseas culture and diversity. The film team will have traveled extensively throughout the French part, setting up their cameras in several essential areas such as Marigot, GC, BO, Colombier, Tintamarre, Pinel, day and night. As a reminder, “Murders at SXM” features a duo of police officers, a gendarme transferred to Saint-Martin played by actor Fabrice Deville, and a police officer from the Dutch side of Haitian origin played by Aude Legastelois, a first for producers in order to stick to the reality of international cooperation. For Jean-Christophe Cardineau, production director, everything went very well: “The reception was very good, with people very cooperative and happy that there was a filming-type activity. No delays despite the weather uncertainties, we are very happy.” With 45 people in the film crew including some local technicians, the TV film “Murders at SXM” also allowed 145 residents to experience extra work or small roles.
