
Saint-Martin vibrated to the rhythm of the cyclists. From September 9 to 14, the island hosted its 2025 Cycling Tour, a high-level sporting event that brought together twenty-four participants from Guadeloupe, Martinique, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, mainland France and of course Saint Martin.
From the prologue disputed in the streets of Marigot, the tone is set. The agreement Sandy Ground Cycling Club/Team 74 Haute-Savoie/GSC wins from the start with a hat-trick, placing the French Thibaut Clément in an ideal position. The next day, the first step offers the public a home victory : the young Saint-Martinois Jahkim Carty wins at Sandy Ground, confirming his potential already seen on the professional circuit.
The rest of the competition saw Guadeloupe shine, notably thanks to the victory of Szymon Wozniak during the second stage in the Quartier d'Orléans. But behind the escapes, the Clement yellow jersey remains intractable. The against the watch Saturday's press conference confirms it: he is indeed the boss of this first Tour.
On Sunday, for the final stage, the stage victory goes to the Guadeloupean Meving Allan Gene, author of a powerful sprint in Marigot and classified best climberBut in the general classification, it is Thibaut Clément who wins (10:51:01.230), carried by a united and perfectly organized team. Julien Chane Foc climbs onto the second step of the podium and Mathieu Pellegrin ranks third overall.
Jahkim Carty wins the jersey for combativeness and best U23 hopeful. The U19 best jersey amounts to Kylian Fabien Defy Dragin, and that of ranking by points to Meving Gene.
With a route of 431 kilometers divided into 4 stages, this unique meeting supported by the Saint-Martin Territorial Cycling Committee mark a important step in the history of local cycling.
