Fatal accident in Saint-James: the gendarmerie is appealing for witnesses | FAXINFO

A fatal traffic accident occurred yesterday, Tuesday, December 23, in the Saint-James district. The incident took place around 21:20 p.m. on the RN7, below the You & Me restaurant.

According to initial reports, a pedestrian, a man in his sixties, was struck by a truck. Alerted shortly after the incident, firefighters arrived at the scene around 9:30 p.m., along with paramedics and the national gendarmerie. Upon their arrival, the victim was in cardiac arrest. Despite resuscitation attempts and his emergency transport to the Louis-Constant Fleming Hospital, the man was pronounced dead.

An investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances of this accident. The National Gendarmerie is appealing for witnesses and seeking any information that could advance the investigation, particularly concerning the truck involved.
