Firstrd The Concordia Cup edition took place in an atmosphere that was as friendly and competitive as ever, pitting the teams from Saint-Martin and St. Maarten against each other as every year.
After six consecutive years of Saint-Martin’s dominance—St. Maarten’s last victory dating back to 2018—the 2025 edition confirmed the strong momentum of the French side, which triumphed once again and took the lead in the competition’s all-time rankings. It’s worth noting that the Mullet Bay course was greener than ever.
Saturday – Doubles
The competition began on Saturday with the two doubles sessions.
In the morning, the 9 foursomes matches (where the two players of the same team play the same ball alternately) went in favor of Saint-Martin with a score of 5½ to 3½.
In the afternoon, the 9 four-ball – best ball matches ended with the same result: 5½ to 3½.
At the end of this first day, Saint-Martin was therefore leading 11 to 7, a four-point lead that would prove decisive.
Sunday – The singles
On Sunday, the 18 singles matches took place. Unlike previous years, the duels were extremely close, and the two teams ultimately shared the points: 9 to 9.
The final score is therefore 20 to 16 for Saint-Martin, who thus win the Concordia Cup 2025.
Thanks to this victory, Saint-Martin takes the lead in the competition’s historical record, with 11 victories against 10 for St. Maarten, since the creation of the event in 2005.
