A case dating back to 2016
According to several sources, Dr. Tchéro's career path raised doubts as early as 2016. That year, a health professional from the CHLCF reportedly alerted the Council of the Order about possible anomalies in the practitioner's qualifications. Due to a lack of investigative resources, the file was forwarded to the National council, which had requested a specialized organization. Gamal Abdel Nasser University in Conakry, in Guinea, had then confirmed that the medical doctor's diploma presented was indeed authentic, and the verification stopped there.
The doctor in question had nevertheless obtained a ministerial authorization to practice orthopedic surgery throughout the French territory, validated by the National Management Center (CNG), which was imposed on the local Order. It would then have passed the hospital practitioner competition, thus strengthening its professional legitimacy.
Reports left unanswered

The turning point of September 2025

On September 16, 2025, the dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Technology at Gamal Abdel Nasser University in Conakry wrote to the CDOM to confirm the authenticity of the state diploma of doctor of medicine, but formally denies the validity of the surgical specialty diploma : “Indeed, the Diploma of Specialized Study in Surgery was created in 2023, which means that the document presented is a fake document,” states the official letter.
Armed with this evidence, the professional institution referred the matter to the public prosecutor of Basse-Terre in application of article 40 of the code of criminal procedure, for " forgery and use of forgery ". On October 23, the Regional Health Agency (ARS) immediately informs the management of the CHLCF, which pronounces the immediate suspension of the surgeon “as a precautionary measure”, now prohibited from accessing the operating room.
