The Lions Club said the outing was intended to create an enjoyable and inclusive experience for the children while giving them an opportunity to take part in one of the region’s major youth sporting events.

The activity formed part of the club’s continuing commitment to community service and supporting organizations that work with children and other vulnerable groups.

“The event reflected the Lions’ mission of making a positive difference in the lives of others while promoting fellowship, compassion and service,” the club said.

The opening ceremony brought together athletes, families, volunteers and supporters from participating countries in a celebration of sportsmanship, friendship and regional cooperation.

For the children of the Sister Basilia Center, the occasion provided an afternoon of excitement, laughter and shared memories.

The St. Maarten Lions Club thanked everyone who assisted in making the outing possible and extended best wishes to all teams participating in the tournament.

“Together We Can,” the club concluded.
