At Hope Estate, the A living museum supported by Art For Science celebrates its first year week of workshops dedicated to street artBut beyond artistic creation, it is above all a human experience which is taking shape on the walls of the site. Since Monday, a collective mural has been emerging: 60 squares, like pieces of a giant puzzle, produced by participants from diverse backgrounds.
Hosted by the artist Espa, about to complete three and a half months of residency on the Mix’Art program, The workshop continues today from 9 a.m. to 16 p.m., tomorrow, Thursday, April 23, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Admission is free and no registration is required.Children and adults alike are invited to express themselves freely on the wall of the living museum, through stencils, painting or collage.
Far from a fixed framework, each brings their own worldStyles blend, colors converse, ideas circulate. A dynamic that naturally fosters encounters, diversity, and social connection. Here, people exchange ideas, experiment, and take risks. Some discover drawing, others are surprised by their own creativity. A concrete way to demonstrate that… Even though they are different, individuals can create together. something that resembles them and inspires them.
Street art as a tool for expression
For Mélanie Dal Gobbo, co-founder ofArt for Science, the choice of street art., A major new art form to discover at the museumIt is obvious: “The DNA of street art is to leave a trace of his passingHere, everyone can express themselves freely and understand that their contribution counts.” An approach consistent with the spirit of the living museum, where art becomes a tool for expression, enhancement and reconstruction.
For his part, Espa explains the genesis of the project “Mélanie and I talked a lot about reconstruction through artThis also resonates with me personally; I come from the world of burnout. One thing led to another, and we arrived at the idea of… puzzleEach piece can exist on its own, but takes on its full meaning Overall. “Someone can make a stick figure, another a starry night, another a sentence: everything coexistsI will make a esquisse who will tie all this together, a child drawing, for to materialize everything that might go through his mind, all stages of its growth”.
The week will end on Saturday morning in this collective dynamic to officially celebrate the anniversary of the museum located in Hope Estate (opposite Tout à Louer), before an evening of “The Magic of the Brain” at Mets Tissés – reservations: https://urls.fr/1mVbd5
A celebration that reflected the place: open, inclusive, and profoundly human. _Vx
