A man in his sixties died from his injuries on Monday, December 25 after falling heavily on a scooter.

The dramatic events took place around 13:30 p.m., rue de Sandy Ground in Marigot. A man in his sixties, riding a scooter and wearing a helmet, performs a wheelie (rear wheel, editor's note). During this very risky maneuver, he lost control of his two-wheeler and fell heavily. The only person involved in this accident, he was quickly taken care of by the emergency teams and transported to the Louis-Constant Fleming hospital center. “Alcohol and drug tests were negative,” said the gendarmerie.

Later in the day at 20:30 p.m.,  sad news was announced by the doctor from the Emergency department. The victim unfortunately died from his injuries in hospital.

An investigation was opened and entrusted to the Marigot brigade. _AF
