Sint Maarten Police (KPSM) reports a series of accidents that occurred between October 16 and 18 on the main roads in the Dutch part, which caused several serious injuries and renewed calls for caution on the roads.
Pedestrian knocked down on AJC Brouwers Road dies of injuries

The Nissan reportedly skidded, hitting a pedestrian posted near the entrance of the cafe before hitting the rear of a parked vehicle. The victim suffered from multiple fractures to the leg and hip and was rushed to hospital. The two drivers involved fled the scene before law enforcement arrived. Scooter versus car on AJC Brouwers Road
A few hours later, a second accident on AJC Brouwers Road added to the toll. 15h45, unregistered scooter collided with a Toyota Rav4 who was leaving a commercial parking lot.
