Le Tennis Club of the Island of Saint-Martin (TCISM) hosted last Friday a P25 padel tournament who brought together thirty-two players for a particularly lively sporting evening.
Organized by coach Ugo Lemoinethe competition brought together eight women’s teams and eight men’s teams They came to measure their progress in a sport that is experiencing a real boom on the island. From 18 p.m. onwards, the matches followed one another in a dynamic atmosphere, fueled by a crowd that came to encourage the players until the very last points.
At men’s, the Sabbadin–Bourely pair prevailed after a hard-fought draw, while Lee and Sheppard dominated the women’s category with consistency and intensity. Beyond the results, this evening confirmed the growing enthusiasm surrounding the paddlejust a few weeks after the inauguration of the club’s second pitch, equipment that enhances hosting capacity and paves the way for new competitions.
