
Associations ANIS et ALEFPA, in partnership with the Local mission and Company Ö & Co, are offering this Friday, January 16th at 18:30 PM a evening screening and discussion about the film Zion, at the Grand Case Beach ClubThe event is part of the national Passeurs d’Images program, of which both structures are winners, and aims to to make cinema a true tool for transmission, for reflection and expression for the youth of the territory.
Done by Nelson Foix, Zion current is a hard-hitting social thriller which explores the fragile trajectories and defining choices that many young people may faceThrough the journey of its main character Chris, the film highlights realities marked by precariousness, the quest for recognition, isolation and tensions linked to the immediate social environment. A tense and human storyrooted in overseas realities.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with the participation of Sloan Descombes, the film’s lead actor, andAxel Lafleur, executive producer. This discussion will offer the public the opportunity to to engage in dialogue about the artistic, social and human dimensions of the workbut also the messages it conveys to younger generations. A highlight of the eveningYouth creativity will be showcased with the presentation of short films and a live musical performance carried out by young people supported by ANIS Saint-Martin as part of the project “Badness Outa Style”.

Synopsis of Zion:
In Guadeloupe, Chris divides his time between drug dealing, excess, and motorcycle stunts.
