PHOTOGRAPHY / “St Martin Horizon”: a successful launch for The Friendly Books’ new book | FAXINFO

The sky of Saint-Martin graced Ti Korner on Thursday, October 23rd, for the opening of the new book "St Martin Horizon", published by The Friendly Books. This seventh title from the local publishing house offers unprecedented air travel above the island, between the blues of the lagoons and the greens of the hills.

Around Christian Mansana, Caribbean Photoswho made the large format prints The exhibition drew large crowds who came to admire the photographs and meet the photographers. The posters caused a sensation. and the book was met with the same enthusiasm. As a souvenir, each visitor left with a “Saint Martin Horizon” keychain made by workshop OLDA.

“My friend Donovan (Trevor) and I have done a lot of tours in a gyrocopter back when it still existed. We ended up with some hundreds of aerial images of the island "And we thought it would be a shame to keep them for ourselves," he says Thomas Proust, project coordinator and artistic director of the collection. The book blends these photographs with More artistic drone photosoffering both a geographical and poetic reading of the territory.
