The Sint Maarten Police (KPSM) is stepping up its actions to combat the inconvenience caused by scooters in daily traffic.
The latter, often involved in reckless behavior, represent a threat to road safety.
Despite several notifications inviting owners to reclaim their confiscated vehicles, the majority did not respond. As a result, KPSM, in collaboration with the Government of Sint Maarten, began the destruction of the unclaimed scooters.
This measure underlines the authorities' determination to maintain order and guarantee safety on the island's roads.
KPSM reminds owners of the importance of recovering their seized vehicles quickly to avoid such sanctions in the future.
